Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Non-Traditional Admissions Recruiter is responsible for recruiting and supporting adult learners, veterans, transfer students, and other non-traditional populations. This role focuses on outreach, relationship-building, and guiding prospective students through the admissions process to increase enrollment and support institutional goals. Responsibilities
Conducts outreach to community colleges, military bases, workforce development centers, and other relevant organizations. Represents Gordon State College at transfer fairs, veteran events, and adult learner-focused programs. Serves as primary contact for community partners and organizations serving non-traditional populations. Student Advising & Support Advises prospective students on program options, admissions policies, and available support services. Collaborates with campus departments to connect students with academic and support services. Recruitment Strategy & Campaigns Participate in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies for non-traditional students. Executes targeted email, call, and text campaigns for non-traditional audiences. Assists in planning and executing events tailored to adult learners and transfer students. Collaboration & Professional Engagement Supports departmental activities and participate in campus-wide events. Serves on relevant campus committees and professional organizations. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in higher education (student experience will be considered) Knowledge of Gordon State College and its programs Experience in post-secondary enrollment services Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of college policies and procedures. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs, including Banner and CRM. Knowledge of admissions policies including freshmen, transfer, access institute, and learning support requirements. Skill in information analysis, decision making, and problem solving. Skill in the provision of customer services to applicants and students. Skill in oral and written communication. Aptitude for navigating information systems and interpretating data. Minimum salary: $39,000 This is a non-exempt (hourly paid) position and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
