A Kforce client in Saint Charles, MO within the construction and skilled trades sector is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage weekly payroll operations for both union and non-union employees. Responsibilities Payroll Specialist will process weekly payroll for field crews and administrative staff Ensure adherence to labor agreements, prevailing wage laws, and certified payroll reporting standards Audit and reconcile timecards, job codes, fringe benefits, deductions, and wage rates Submit reports and contributions to labor organizations in a timely manner Maintain up-to-date payroll records for new hires, terminations, and status changes Address employee payroll inquiries with discretion and professionalism Apply adjustments for bonuses, raises, and benefit changes as needed Support audits, workers' compensation reviews, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s) Collaborate with HR, project leads, and finance to ensure accurate labor cost allocation Requirements Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; Equivalent experience considered CPP or FPC certification is advantageous Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in construction or skilled trades Familiarity with union payroll, prevailing wage regulations, and certified reporting Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll/timekeeping software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Experience with multi-state payroll compliance is a plus The pay range for this role is $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr.
