is seeking an
Accounting Manager
based in
Athens . The
Accounting Manager
will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with local and international accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. Main Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the accounting team, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing guidance and training. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and local regulations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax processes. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and support treasury operations. Coordinate and support annual audits (internal and external) while liaising with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities. Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and safeguard company assets. Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for business planning and decision-making. Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with finance leadership. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings, VAT, and other local obligations. Lead or support ERP/accounting system improvements and automation initiatives. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance from a top-tier university (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as ACCA is highly appreciated). Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (IFRS/GAAP and local requirements). 7+ years of combined experience in Accounting, Controlling, and Financial Reporting (A/P,A/R&GL) At least 2 years in a Supervisory or Management role. Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral. Proficiency in ERP systems. Advanced organizational and administrative skills. High attention to detail and accuracy.
