Transmission & Substation (T&S) Standards are responsible for maintaining and developing new standards and engineering practices that ensure standardized, efficient, safe, and cost-effective designs. This position is responsible for Distribution and Transmission Relay Protection & Control Engineering Design Standards including voltages of 765kV, 345kV, 138kV, 69kV, 34kV, 12kV, and 4kV. T&S Standards include Engineering Practices, Engineering Standard Practices, Material Specifications, Construction Specifications and Generic Design Drawings. This consists of various responsibilities including reviewing, updating, and facilitating the development of T&S design standards, while working closely with the T&S groups to ensure effective standard implementation. Provides technical expertise to strategic, legislative and operational decisions. This position collaborates with the other Exelon companies and is involved in creating, updating, and applying internal/industry design standards and technology in a specialized area of expertise. Trains and mentors others. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Responsibilities

Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for a specific class of T&S Standards including Engineering Practices, Engineering Standard Practices, Material Specifications, Construction Specifications and Generic Design Drawings: Distribution and Transmission Relay Protection & Control Engineering Standards Point of Contact for technical questions related to material application and design standards Works with Vendors on material design improvements and implementation Collaborates with Equipment Specialists, Relay & Protection, Substation Engineering, Transmission Engineering, Capacity Planning, Transmission Planning, TCE, field groups, etc. to set the design and material standards and applications while ensuring safety, effectiveness and constructability of standards Performs assignments while acting independently and may lead multi-discipline teams Provides recommendations to management and implements action plans to improve reliability Provides detailed technical training, mentorship, peer review, and/or guidance to others Interfaces with applicable industry groups such as IEEE, EPRI, EEI, MEA, etc. to introduce new design improvements and materials Investigates common point of failure modes and trends for the purpose of material or design standard improvements as well as supporting the analysis of extent of condition Job Scope

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer; knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory Detailed knowledge of applicable standards, codes, methods, and practices unique to areas of expertise 7+ years of professional engineering experience; thorough knowledge and experience in unique areas of engineering expertise Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues Minimum of three related career experiences (i.e., changes in technical job responsibilities) OR lead member of a recognized industry committee OR Professional Engineer's License; advanced technical degree, MBA or Project Management Certification Note: License/degree requirements may adjust experience requirements as described Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Relay & Protection engineering designs, principles and practices Licensed Professional Engineer Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all management levels Strong written and oral communication skills Working knowledge of applicable analysis software packages Ability to analyze industry wide trends and implement enhancements Benefits

Benefits Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $100,800.00/Yr. – $138,600.00/Yr.
