Tulsa, OK Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for an opportunity to lead and make a meaningful impact? Join our client, a mission-driven nonprofit health organization with over 1,500 employees dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community. Position Summary The Payroll Manager will lead the organization’s payroll function, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of payroll operations. This role requires a leader with deep expertise in payroll systems and processes, as well as the ability to manage and mentor a small payroll team in a collaborative, mission-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all payroll operations, including the processing of payroll for 1,500+ employees. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, wage and hour laws (FLSA), and organizational policies. Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance. Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure accurate employee records, including benefits, deductions, and timekeeping. Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for leadership and external audits. Oversee year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and filing. Stay updated on payroll regulations and recommend system or process enhancements as needed. Serve as the primary point of contact for complex payroll inquiries and escalations. Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience. Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role (experience in a nonprofit or healthcare setting is a plus). Proficiency in payroll software and systems (experience with specific software is an advantage). Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and reporting requirements. Proven leadership and team management skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a strong advantage. What Is Offered Compensation:
