Solutions Architect – Digital Pathology

is responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales goals for the territory, executing product demonstrations for clients, and clearly communicating complex and technical product information as well as technical IT and networking information to a variety of customer stakeholders. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, is part of the Pathology Imaging Sales team, and will be a field-based role. Responsibilities

Serve as technical expert for digital pathology hardware (scanners) and related software products. Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support; travel overnight as necessary (estimated at 50%) for pre- and post-sales activities such as customer appointments, trade shows and training. Manage customer call activity across existing accounts to expand the current base, meet active opportunities, and prospect for new opportunities in the assigned geography. Coordinate sales activities within national, multi-site laboratory accounts by collaborating with other departments to ensure proper handling of customer requirements and timely implementation of orders (documentation of Solution Design with key stakeholders). Essential Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (IT or Scientific field preferred) or equivalent work experience. Diagnostics, Life Science and/or Pathology preferred. Prior capital sales experience preferred. Travel, Vehicle & Physical/Environment Requirements

Ability to travel 50-75% within the territory. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 15 lbs; other physical requirements as needed. Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Travel by car and air travel with possible long wait times. Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $118,000 - $130,000. This range may be modified in the future. This position is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Leica Biosystems offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
