Information Technology Specialist in the Aviation Information Technology Network Security Division Employer:

The position will focus on outputs that streamline the IT Governance section's conformance to County standards, County Administrative Policies and Procedures, while referencing industry best practices and frameworks related to PCI-DSS, FS119, FL SB 1662, FL Statute 282, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF). Advanced tasks include creating, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures, vendor documentation, and value-added user documentation for improved understanding of complex topics. The role will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote cyber resilience and adapt aviation-operator specific systems. The person will: Perform and analyze vulnerability scans and industry intel; monitor threat intelligence feeds; provide remediation recommendations; implement IT and security systems; and coordinate responses to IT Governance priorities. Participate in the management of IT Governance systems, airport security systems, and SETA tools. Provide high-level technical expertise and project management direction for multiple large-scale IT initiatives, including research, analysis, design, development, and implementation of projects. Review County-wide IT strategic direction, recommend and implement approaches for emerging technologies when appropriate. Review programming techniques and recommend IT solutions, enhancement plans, and related cost-benefit analyses. Supervise professional and technical personnel in assigned teams or sections; plan, organize, and implement emerging technologies. Administer County-wide technological specialty functions and perform project management for large-scale IT projects. Review system designs, application development, and documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to standards; document deployment, security, QA, change controls, and compliance. Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science or a closely related field. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Requires four (4) years of experience in systems analysis, systems design and/or applications programming relevant to the area of assignment, including related project management or closely related experience. All Aviation Department employees must interact courteously with the public, airport vendors, contractors, and fellow employees to maintain a professional work atmosphere. Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport-issued SIDA Badge. Must be authorized to drive on County business for the duration of employment. Preferences
Master's Degree in Information Systems or related field; Doctorate Degree in Information Systems or related field. Security+, SANS Security Management track, PCI-P, CISM, CCSK, CCSP, and/or CISSP or other security/critical infrastructure-related certifications. Minimum two (2) years of experience working with airport-specific applications. Additional Information
All candidates must complete an extensive work history verification and criminal background check, including fingerprinting. Per the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49, Part 1542, all airport employees must undergo a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and a Security Threat Assessment (STA) to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge, as required by the TSA.
