Overview
Join Boise Cascade Company as an EWP Area Sales Manager (Texas). The territory for this position is Texas, preferably living in one of the major markets or suburbs of Texas. The EWP Area Sales Manager is responsible for engineered wood products field sales, customer service/satisfaction, training, communication, and technical representation to customers including but not limited to the following: Responsibilities
Work with and in support of the Senior EWP Area Sales Managers across Texas markets to manage national and local builder programs for Boise Cascade EWP. Support action plans focused on business development and demand creation leveraging the value proposition of Boise Cascade EWP and supply chain partners. Provide technical support to wholesale and retail distributors. Transition to managing and conducting technical training seminars for contractors, architects and code enforcement personnel; teach professional selling and presentation skills to lumber industry sales personnel. Travel across the state of Texas; expected travel is approximately 50%. Qualifications
Basic College degree or equivalent work experience in a related job function. Experience in engineered wood products and/or other related wood products sales into residential construction markets. Understanding of engineered wood products and basic understanding of design loads and other criteria; ability and desire to learn are critical to success. Knowledge of proper use of LVL and I-joists in residential construction and/or a strong desire to learn the business. Strong customer service orientation and track record to establish and maintain relationships with buyers, distributors and end-users. Good people perception, strong interaction and communication skills, tenacity and decision-making abilities. Preferred Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a related job function. Benefits
