Overview The Strategic Growth Director – Enterprise Initiatives leads and accelerates enterprise-wide growth and business optimization initiatives. This role partners with clinical, academic, digital, data/analytics, operations, and finance teams to translate strategy into executable programs and measurable outcomes. Reports to the Lead, Strategic Growth & Business Optimization and provides thought leadership, architecture, and activation across one or more focus areas.

Major Responsibilities

Strategic Initiative Leadership & Execution: Lead and manage complex, enterprise-wide initiatives aligned with strategic growth, business performance, and transformation goals. Translate objectives into defined workstreams with accountable owners, deliverables, timelines, and performance metrics.

Insight-Driven Problem Solving: Apply structured approaches to define business problems, design solutions, and drive measurable outcomes. Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to support strategic recommendations and executive decisions.

Executive Communications: Prepare and present high-quality deliverables, including briefings, presentations, and reports for senior leadership.

Enterprise Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a strategic advisor and connector across the enterprise, building relationships with clinical, shared services, academic, digital, data/analytics, and operational stakeholders. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure aligned execution of initiatives and support governance processes for visibility and accountability.

Enterprise Differentiator Activation (Role-Specific Focus Areas): Lead or support activation in one or more areas based on enterprise need and expertise, such as Academics & Research, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships, Data/Analytics & AI, or Growth & Business Optimization Portfolio Management.

Organizational Capability Building: Contribute to the development of tools, processes, and templates to support consistent strategy execution. Build internal capacity through knowledge sharing and collaboration; mentor team members in strategic execution.

Minimum Job Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree required.

Certification / License None

Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in academic health systems, innovation, partnerships, or strategic planning.

Experience in cross-functional leadership and initiative management in complex organizations.

Familiarity with academic medical center operations, innovation pipelines, and data/technology solutions.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Understanding of enterprise growth strategy, portfolio management, and transformation frameworks.

Strong financial and business acumen with ability to develop and analyze business cases and ROI analyses.

Working knowledge of data and analytics, governance, and AI capabilities.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to influence in a matrixed organization.

Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into executable roadmaps and measurable outcomes.

Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.

Effective verbal and written communication, including executive-level presentation.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Routine office environment with sitting at a desk, computer work, video or phone calls, and report preparation. Prolonged periods of sedentary work, with standing, walking, and driving as needed. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Work under pressure to manage multiple priorities while ensuring safety and accuracy.

Preferred Job Requirements

Master’s degree in business, health administration, public health, or related field (preferred).
