Director of Learning & Development (L&D)

provides strategic leadership in developing WOCOTM’s organizational learning culture. This individual designs and oversees training frameworks that enhance the skills, performance, and leadership capacity of volunteers and staff. The Director ensures that learning initiatives align with WOCOTM’s mission and long-term goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the overall learning and development strategy for WOCOTM. Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and growth opportunities. Design leadership development pathways for volunteers and program leaders. Oversee creation of training programs in DEI, communication, leadership, and advocacy. Supervise the L&D Coordinator and collaborate with HR to ensure consistent training delivery. Evaluate the impact of learning initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership. Establish partnerships with external trainers, educators, and community partners. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s a plus). 3+ years of experience in training, curriculum design, or nonprofit leadership. Proven ability to design and implement learning programs. Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
