1359 About the program:

Respite means to take a break. Clients often need a way to take some space from the stressors in their lives, and we provide that. The program is staffed 24/7. You will engage with clients, observe safe medication practices, support daily independent living skills, assess risk and crisis situations, and provide case management supports as needed. Clients may utilize Respite as a step down from a hospital or to prevent a hospital stay. You will develop strong relationships with other CHR programs, primary health providers, and pharmacies to best support those in our care. Position Highlights

Make a Meaningful Impact: Provide crisis stabilization and life skills coaching. Engaging Team Environment: Collaborate with a dedicated team to help clients transition toward independent living. Diverse Clientele: Assist clients from various backgrounds and connect them to essential mental health resources. Hands-On Experience: Develop skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavioral health management. Requirements: Self-driven, mental health experience, adaptability, and a valid driver’s license. Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain the physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO, and other licensing standards. Monitor medications for all residents in accordance with the adult residential medication policy and procedures. Communicate effectively with staff regarding the day’s events using appropriate methods/tools. Teach and assist residents in rehab areas including nutrition, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills. Assist/manage administrative functions and tasks as directed by the supervisor. Prepare and facilitate educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions as directed by the treatment plan. Collaborate and coordinate care with providers and families as needed. Assist residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs. Maintain documentation in compliance with agency and program standards. Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned. Additional duties as required. Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required. Experience:

Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
