Accounting Manager Job at Truity Partners in Minneapolis

Our client is a company in the Minneapolis area looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 8+ years of accounting experience, strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize.

The salary range for this position is $90k-120k

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support annual audit and tax filings by coordinating with external auditors and advisors.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting in collaboration with finance leadership.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff to enhance team performance.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
• Provide support with special projects and additional accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detailed orientated, and a problem solver.
