Internal Controls & Compliance:
Develops and implements internal controls, ensures adherence to accounting standards (like GAAP), and supports external audits.
Team Leadership:
Manages and trains accounting staff, provides guidance, and fosters a cohesive and competent finance team.
Strategic Planning:
Contributes to strategic thinking by providing financial information and recommendations to upper management, helping to align accounting goals with overall organizational objectives.
Collaboration:
Works with other departments to gather financial data and support sound decision-making.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepares and reviews financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, and analyzes financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Required Skills
Leadership and Management:
Strong skills in managing, motivating, and developing a team of accounting professionals.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify patterns, and offer strategic recommendations.
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Detail-Oriented:
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial for maintaining precise financial records.
