Duties & Responsibilities:

Manages grants and contracts by supporting Principal Investigators in the development of grant proposals, preparing budgets, and overseeing post‑award accounting through to grant closeout.

Verifies and audits post‑award expenditures to ensure accuracy and compliance during financial closeout.

Manages all financial operations for the department, ensuring compliance with current policies and procedures across all business and finance applications.

Oversees accounting functions for state, indirect cost recovery (ICR), grant, and gift account.

Acts as the Department card manager; ensures all transactions adhere to university rules and policy, and reconciles and approves transactions.

Supervises, administers, and monitors the card program. Issues new card applications and provides necessary training.

Handles day‑to‑day accounting functions, including making purchase orders in iBuy, serving as the account coder, and processing reimbursements in Emburse Enterprise.

Processes and approves payments of invoices, PO requisitions, and travel reimbursements.

Assists with the preparation of internal and external contracts required by the department, collaborating with campus units and funding agencies as needed.

Processes all contracts within the Contracts+ system.

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
