Overview The purpose of this position is to administer critical application management information systems used by all divisions of MNIT. The incumbent will support day‑to‑day application operations, project enhancements, and ensure stable operations in a compliant manner.

Responsibilities The incumbent will provide support for Oracle database systems across the environment, manage tablespaces, schemas, indexes, users, apply patches, perform database cloning, perform performance tuning & optimization, and deliver feature and capacity enhancements through projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience with knowledge and understanding of Oracle database systems, Oracle database administration, Oracle database security, and Oracle script development and implementation.

Experience in Oracle Database Administration (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c, or later).

Installation, configuration, and upgrades.

Managing tablespaces, schemas, indexes, and users.

Applying patches and performing database cloning.

Performance Tuning & Optimization.

Effective verbal or written communication facilitating mutual understanding.

Customer service skills: active listening, empathy, problem solving.

A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.

Preferred Qualifications

Azure Infrastructure: Provisioning Azure Virtual Machines for Oracle workloads.

Configuring Azure Networking (VNets, NSGs, private endpoints).

Managing Azure Storage (disks, blob storage for Oracle backups).

Azure Database Services: Understanding Azure Database for Oracle (via Marketplace or VM).

Integration with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for Oracle performance tracking.

Automation & Templates: Deploying Oracle environments with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.

Using Azure Automation / scripts (PowerShell, Bash) for patching and maintenance.

Manage and monitor Azure subscriptions, resources, and cost optimization.

Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure Virtual Machines.

Monitor service health and performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
