Responsibilities
Monitor, troubleshoot and configure Local Area Networks across FSU campus
Network switching, Voice hardware, Wireless access points, UPS maintenance, port activations and life cycle replacement of network hardware
Troubleshoot network outages and coordinate with Architecture, Infrastructure and Engineering groups
Supervise daily installation and administrative operations for campus wide networking infrastructure
Design and implement campus-wide networking solutions; specify, install, configure, monitor and manage campus network infrastructure
Collect and analyze network performance monitoring data
Provide technical advice to ITS management regarding complex computer/network-related problems and applications
Supervise technical staff, coordinate installation planning, scheduling and work assignments; mentor, coach and train team members
Support team requirements; coordinate with internal and external customers
Perform duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines and processes; utilize associated tools per ITS standards
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience
A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or ability to obtain one upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience
Strong background in network switching
Strong customer service – verbal and written communication skills
