Part-Time Continuing Education Instructor (Non-Credit) Foreign Languages Job Title: Part-Time Continuing Education Instructor (Non-Credit) Foreign Languages. Location: Wolfson Campus. Regular/Temporary: Temporary. Full/Part Time: Part-Time. Job ID: 1008259. Grade: HK. Salary: $25.00 base. Department: Continuing Education. Reports To: Program Manager.

Responsibilities

Teach foreign language courses to adult learners seeking communication skills.

Apply communicative and immersive teaching methods.

Develop course materials, assessments, and multimedia resources.

Incorporate cultural context into learning.

Provide feedback and guidance.

Track and report attendance and performance.

Use technology and online platforms as needed.

Foster a respectful, inclusive classroom.

Adapt instruction to diverse learners.

Collaborate with program staff.

Design and deliver instruction in one or more languages across proficiency levels.

Create engaging lessons for speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Integrate technology and online resources.

Assess student performance orally and in written activities.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and grades.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in the language taught, OR

Bachelor’s degree in the language taught AND at least 2 years of teaching or professional experience in the language, OR

Fluent/native speaker with a Bachelor’s degree AND at least 3 years of teaching experience.

Fluency in the target language and proficiency teaching it to adult learners.

Knowledge of second language acquisition and instructional methods.

Strong cross-cultural communication skills and global awareness.

Experience using communicative, student-centered teaching techniques.

Familiarity with instructional technology and language learning platforms.

Ability to create inclusive, engaging classroom environments.

Strong written and verbal communication in English and the target language.

Skill in developing curriculum and assessing language proficiency.

Cultural sensitivity and adaptability in diverse educational settings.

Organizational skills and attention to student progress tracking.

Preferred

Prior experience teaching adult learners preferred.

Additional Requirements Successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
