Senior Engagement Manager, AWS Professional Services
Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services team as a Senior Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for our clients, bridging business requirements with technical solutions and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.
Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.
Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.
Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.
Manage technical risks, escalations, and project plans to successful completion while exceeding customer expectations.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of cloud-based solution experience (AWS or equivalent) and system/network/operating system experience or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience in technical product management, program management, or engineering.
Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow, or software development lifecycle.
Experience managing and delivering large‑scale enterprise IT projects.
6+ years of technical work experience or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of delivering customer engagements in a professional services role.
Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2).
AWS certification.
Experience with Agile and project management toolsets like Jira, Rally, VersionOne or Taiga.
Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives and business lines across organizations.
Work experience in industries such as Financial Services, Automotive, Telecommunications, Health Care & Life Sciences, Energy, Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing.

$118,700 – $178,100 (USD per year).
$125,500 – $220,800 (USD per year).
$140,000 – $160,000 (USD per year).
