Advanced diagnostic imaging, specialized clinical expertise. Radiology Services at Harborview Medical Center offers a full complement of radiology tests and imaging procedures, including nuclear medicine and interventional radiology (angiography). Position Highlights
Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, Lead Technologist, Radiologist, or other Physician, this individual will perform skilled radiographic procedures that assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients. Additionally, the person in this role will provide the appropriate education to patients and their families prior to and post Radiology procedure and exercise responsible judgment in recognizing and reporting significant situations relating to patient care. Primary Job Responsibilities
Performs diagnostic radiographic exams as assigned by Lead or Supervisor, providing devices and selecting proper technical factors. Under general supervision performs complex radiographic procedures such as myelograms, discograms, complex orthopedic procedures in the OR, extensive radiography, and complex polytraumatized patients from the ED and ICU. Operates Computed and Digital Radiography equipment, PACS, the Hospital Information System, and the Radiology Information System, printing and retrieving images as needed. Assists in the orientation of new staff, technologists, researchers, and students to the Radiology department. Maintains a clean and well‑stocked working environment. May be assigned Lead responsibilities in absence or when requested. Maintains adequate computer and/or written records using the Radiology Information System. May be required to work on‑call. Ensures appropriate utilization of Radiation Protection prescribed by safety standards. Requirements
Registered as an X‑Ray Technician by the State of Washington; certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist before completion of probationary period. Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA‑approved school and eligible for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry completed before completion of probationary period or equivalent education/experience. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. Pay range: $82,716.00 – $129,444.00 annually. Additional $5,000 signing bonus with 2‑year commitment. Night Shift Differential (if applicable) $2.75/hr. Weekend Premium (if applicable) $2.50/hr.
