Program Director – University of South Florida
Position located in
Tallahassee, FL . The role is in‑person and requires a full‑time commitment under the bureau of Strategic Improvement for the Institute for School‑Community Partnerships (ISCP). This position is grant funded and reports to the Vice‑Chancellor of Strategic Improvement.
Position Summary The Program Director provides strategic direction and oversight of federal educational programs. The director manages staff, develops and implements program activities, monitors project budgets, ensures compliance with federal, state and organizational rules, and maintains high‑performance teamwork. The director facilitates training, technical assistance and stakeholder engagement to build capacity for educational policy implementation.
Responsibilities
Lead development and oversight of federal programs, including application review, budget maintenance, data collection and annual outcome improvement.
Manage the Migrant Student Information Exchange (MSIX) system and provide technical assistance to stakeholders.
Monitor school district compliance, including application review, annual Tier I and II compliance monitoring and real‑time monitoring requirements.
Provide training, technical assistance and guidance to Florida Department of Education (FDOE) and district personnel on grant management and compliance.
Supervise and manage federal program staff, including hiring, performance appraisals, work plan development and attendance approval.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a related field + seven years of experience, OR Master’s degree + five years of experience.
Preferred: Master’s in Education or related field, 3 years administrative experience, 3 years grant‑management experience.
Requirement: Criminal History Background Check – Level 1 and Level 2.
Degree Equivalency: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.
