The mission of the Boeing's Offboard Communications team is to develop, implement, and oversee certification processes that ensure the compliance and safety of all of Boeing’s products. Our team of experienced engineers use expertise in systems engineering to navigate regulatory requirements and develop guidance in the certification processes for all Offboard Communication Systems. The team enjoys problem solving through, developing actions, tech data analysis and driving systems level solutions. It is a dynamic and highly visible place of work. Position Responsibilities
Contributing cross-functional teams resulting in resolution of technical issues Coordinate technical messaging and partnering with the FAA on regulatory issues Developing strategic action plans and executing those plans through completion Own, manage, and develop Certification Plans Ensure proper technical coordination across products, platforms and functional areas to promote culture of compliance to requirements and application of procedures and FAA guidance Enable effective changes and efficient solutions across the Certification value stream Work Authorization
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA. Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Cert Plan Ownership (Certification Plan Input Author or developing certification plan inputs). 3+ years of experience working directly with the FAA and/or ODA on Type Certification projects 3+ years of experience in developing and/or contributing to processes, policies, and procedures in Certification Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within the certification value stream. Experience with certification processes Boeing uses to comply with 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95, 21.97 and 12.101. Experience communicating verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences including FAA representation, ODA Leadership, Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) & Project Administrators (PA), and Program & Functional Leaders. Experience identifying web application impact due to changes in certification requirements. Drug Free Workplace
