Overview With the growth of our Android app, we need an engineer who can own major features, drive reliability, and shape the future of the Android team.
What You’ll Do
Own and deliver high‑quality features inside the Android app in collaboration with design.
Shape the future of our Android team and influence product decisions.
Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features.
Participate in cross‑team discussions across Product, Design, and Engineering.
Review pull requests, support teammates, and handle critical issues.
Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for QA.
Ideal Candidate
5+ years of software engineering experience.
Familiarity with Android components and at least one Android app.
Product design intuition, user empathy, and strong Android UI/UX skill.
Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
Experience with tests and approach to writing tests.
Proficiency with Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, Dagger, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Jetpack Navigation, Compose, Room, and JUnit.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Self‑drive to improve the app and codebase beyond the spec.
Bonus
Open source Android contributions.
Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
