RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST – MRI (90% FTE, NIGHTS)
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus
to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center. This role supports Radiology Services with a full complement of imaging procedures.
Work schedule:
90% FTE, 36 hours per week – night shift 7 pm–7:30 am, Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
Department:
Radiology at Harborview Medical Center – a Level I trauma and burn center.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for examinations, explain the procedure, and address questions.
Screen patients for contraindications to MRI exams.
Review patient medical history, consult physicians as needed, and ensure appropriate imaging studies.
Prescribe and adjust scanning parameters using documented protocols, aiming to minimize artifacts and reduce scan time.
Post‑process images and administer contrast when required under radiologist supervision.
Schedule exams in the RIS, confirm billing, archive studies in PACS, and troubleshoot equipment.
Maintain equipment safety, restock supplies, and perform related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of formal technology training at an AMA‑approved school and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of Washington.
Compensation:
$101,952 – $159,480 annual
