PE backed, consumer products/manufacturing company looking a Director, Finance Operations. Role will be a finance business partner to operations, supply chain and logistics.
Location: Burlington, MA
Hybrid - 4 days/week in office (Monday through Thursday)

Responsibilities As a leader of the Supply Chain finance function this person will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance across our global supply chain operations. This includes financial support for manufacturing operations, co-manufacturing, procurement, freight and logistics, capital expenditures and being a key leader of the Company’s continuous improvement program. This role will develop and execute the Company’s supply chain forecasting and planning process and participate in building financial plans, create analyses, and presenting recommendations to drive the Company’s growth and profitability.
In addition, you will:
Lead the financial planning, analysis, and reporting efforts for supply chain; providing insights and recommendations to optimize cost, inventory, operational performance, and profitability
Provide strategic financial guidance to supply chain leaders, enabling data-driven decision-making and proactive identification of productivity opportunities and risk mitigation.
Support the identification and implementation of key performance indicators; monitor trends within the business and risks and opportunities in current plans and forecasts
Support senior management in the development of medium and long-term strategic plans and lead the annual continuous improvement plan development and reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute financial targets aligned with supply chain objectives, including inventory management, procurement, logistics, and distribution
Play a critical role in the Company’s overall financial information program, including areas such as management reporting, data management, and related systems and processes
Partner with sales teams and supply chain partners to gather relevant data and insights that inform accurate inventory forecasts
Partner with procurement team on evaluation of contracts and vendors while also reviewing spend profiles and offering recommendations to drive productivity
Serve as the finance business partner for logistics and network optimization as well as inbound and outbound freight
Mentor, train and develop Financial Planning Analysts
Participate across the Director group to lead the Company’s strategic vision and drive daily execution
Qualifications
Experience working in manufacturing is required
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
At least 8+ years of experience in cost analysis, FP&A in a manufacturing/CPG environment. Deep level of familiarity with standard costing environment and variance analysis
Experience partnering with senior Operations leadership (Chief Operations or Supply Chain Officer, VP Manufacturing, Plant Managers). Ability to translate the vision and mission of the organization into actionable, quantitative plans
Experience leading cost improvement efforts across the Supply Chain and Operations areas
At least 3 years of managerial experience. Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proven track record in developing financial models to analyze variances and what-if scenario modelling to provide strategic insights. Proficiency in financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau). Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and forecasting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
