You will work alongside our team of engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
Base pay range $123,600.00/yr - $162,300.00/yr
Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems
Develop design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization or cleanliness requirements
Develop conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations, AFDs, P&IDs, and general arrangements
Develop final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, etc.
Coordinate with other disciplines
Qualifications
Professional Engineering License
At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines
Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely
Preferred
Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems
