JOB SUMMARY
Adare is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join our business support team focused on customer service and quality. This role is responsible for writing high-quality technical proposals for various CDMO service offerings as well as direct manager of the technical proposal team.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Evaluate RFI/RFQ/RFPs and discuss with prospective clients as necessary to ensure a technical understanding of clients’ needs and for development of an appropriate proposal approach. Provide technical assessment and recommendation of potential project opportunities to Management, SMEs and members of the Business Development team.
Generate high quality, detailed proposals (High Level Budgetary, Detailed scope and Statement of Work) for any phase (Pre-Clinical through Commercial) manufacturing in support of RFP/RFQ/RFIs.
Coordinate with the Business Development team and client as necessary for the review and revision of proposals including email, video stream, and face-to-face meetings.
Diligently track the pipeline of proposals and communicate the status to appropriate stakeholders including upper management as necessary. Distribute workload with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Focus on key alignment or change initiatives with the goal to improve team performance, ensure capabilities are up to date, and to support the business goals of the business.
Make strategic decisions based on feedback from cross functional groups in order to support overall Sales Targets and business models to remain competitive in the market.
Lead internal team meetings and one on one meetings with proposal team members.
Lead in personnel onboarding, training and guiding the team to achieve high performance.
Continuously improve the proposal and proposal management processes including templates and scoping tools optimization.
Create proposal related analytics, KPIs, and reports as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA degree from a four-year accredited university or college; plus, a minimum of five years (5) years of related experience required with a Bachelor’s degree; or three (3) years and an advanced degree and related work experience.
Minimum three (3) years proposal writing experience for a CMO/CDMO, oral solid space preferred.
Technical understanding of a CDMO cGMP manufacturing environment and associated analytical support.
Significant training experience of peers.
Strong understanding of commercial organization processes and goals.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and personal time management skills.
Strong client-facing interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to collaborate with internal colleagues ranging from Subject Matter Experts to members of the Senior Leadership team globally.
Strong analytical and questioning skills to be able to extract detailed information quickly.
Excellent written and oral communication skills both internal and external.
Proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
SharePoint and Salesforce.com experience preferred but not required.
Ability to function in a rapidly changing environment and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to participate and at times lead meetings (via teleconference) in different time zones.
Minimal travel will be required.
