Position Summary
The Department of Public Health Education seeks a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer to contribute to teaching, curriculum coordination, and academic service. The Lecturer will deliver high-quality instruction to Master of Public Health students, support curriculum development, and contribute to student success. This position emphasizes teaching excellence, curriculum management, and a learning environment that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and student engagement. Responsibilities
Provide high-quality teaching in public health education and related areas. Support curriculum planning, coordination, and continuous improvement within the department. Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure programmatic alignment with accreditation standards and departmental goals. Teach face‑to‑face graduate courses in public health education and related disciplines. Develop and deliver engaging, student‑centered course materials, assessments, and instructional strategies. Maintain office hours and provide timely feedback and academic support to students. Employ inclusive teaching practices that reflect diverse perspectives and learning styles. Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Master of Public Health degree, health education, or closely related field. Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the college/university level. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, EdD) in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field. Experience with curriculum coordination. Experience advising or mentoring students. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and service.
