Job Summary The Associate Human Resources Generalist will assist the Facility HR Manager with recruiting, training coordination, employee relations, policy guidance, compensation support, benefits enrollment, employee engagement/recognition programs and also with HR compliance reporting. This position works onsite at the Nestlé Health Science manufacturing facility in Leonia, New Jersey (Monday to Friday). Flexible availability is required for this position.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation of Nestlé Health Science USA’s People Strategy by assisting with processes that help attract, develop, and retain employees.
Help coordinate workforce planning activities such as talent development, organizational changes, and planning efforts.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with Nestlé’s Management and Leadership Principles.
Assist with special projects related to workforce data, strategic planning, and reporting.
Coordinate hourly and salaried hiring activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding support.
Partner with the talent acquisition team to support recruitment efforts and diversity hiring initiatives.
Help maintain performance and talent management systems by supporting goal setting, development planning, and performance tracking.
Provide tools and resources to People Leaders to support team development and performance conversations.
Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, escalating issues as needed to the Facility HR Manager.
Support efforts to maintain open communication and a positive employee experience.
Assist with documentation and coordination of employee relations matters, including investigations and coaching.
Support HR compliance efforts by helping track safety goals and people-related initiatives.
Assist with audits and documentation to ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology or in a related field preferred.
1+ years of internship, office administration and/or HR experience preferred (equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered).
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required.
Must have excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, organization and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop/maintain strong, cross‑functional stakeholder relationships).
Fluency in English & Spanish is required to effectively support our diverse workforce and ensure clear communication across all levels of the organization.
Must be detail‑oriented, agile and able to work/lead through change management.
Understanding of Federal/State employment laws (e.g., EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, Unemployment Insurance Administration, and Worker’s Compensation) is highly desired.
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday including mornings, afternoons and/or evenings as required.
Pay Range The approximate pay range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000.
