Overview The Solution Engineer role is a key part of Salesforce’s sales organization. If you are interested in solution engineering, this is the right place. Responsibilities
A Solution Engineer partners with clients and internal teams to design multi‑product technology solutions across Salesforce product lines.
Business Problem Solving: Define ambiguous business problems, recommend practical next steps, and drive innovative ideas.
Innovation Management: Communicate solution options, drive consensus, and help clients develop new decision frameworks.
Connect Experiences: Demo connected experiences, build future‑state customer journey strategies, and develop long‑term IT roadmaps.
Solutioning: Assist the customer, Account Executive, and Professional Services team with discovery, analysis, and recommendation of strategic solutions using Salesforce technologies.
Discover customer business needs and position the best Salesforce solution to achieve those objectives.
Build and present customized solutions focused on Salesforce products to multiple customer personas.
Convey deep understanding of customer architecture as it pertains to Salesforce solutions.
Orchestrate cross‑functional solution guides and align them to opportunity strategy.
Deliver the story of the customer experience aided by Salesforce technologies.
Participate in product, sales, and procedural training and certifications to maintain knowledge vital to the position.
Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region.
Required Qualifications
B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent relevant experience.
Knowledge of relational database and web technology.
Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied environments.
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Certifications.
Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM company or similar technology.
