Unit Manager – Brookline, MA
Balance Life & Work with a New Career Opportunity at CareOne in Brookline, MA. Now hiring a Unit Manager for a long‑term care unit in a compassionate, high‑quality facility.
Responsibilities
Ensure required staffing levels are met for each shift on a daily basis and adjust staffing levels as needed.
Participate in weekly resident "At Risk" meetings, morning clinical review meetings, PPS meetings, monthly QA and A meetings, and other meetings as indicated.
Monitor resident care provided by licensed nurses and CNAs, review daily 24‑hour resident change reports, and follow up on interventions.
Review resident medical records and documentation to ensure clinical programs are in place per policy and procedures.
Identify educational needs of staff, discuss findings with the Facility Educator, and work collaboratively to meet these needs.
Participate on committees as requested by the Administrator/Director of Nursing Services.
Ensure resident care and documentation comply with state and federal rules and regulations, and that staff comply with HIPAA rules.
Communicate with department managers and resolve grievances from personnel, residents, or family members.
Assist the DON/ADON with preparing performance evaluations and provide admission support as needed.
Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure medications are administered as ordered.
Attend continuing education programs and maintain licensure requirements.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred and/or graduate of an approved RN program.
Actively licensed RN in assigned state(s) of employment.
Previous supervisory experience.
Two years of LTC experience.
Acute Care experience preferred.
