Responsibilities
Actively seek and develop new opportunities through cold calling, email, trade shows, trade associations and other channels.
Identify key accounts in the region and develop action plans to increase Loma exposure and penetration.
Visit and maintain contact with customers and prospective customers to understand needs and present standard Loma offerings.
General account development, managing activities and converting all opportunities to closure.
Maintain customer accounts in Loma’s CRM system accurately showing status, activity and forecasting.
Additional Expectations
Become expert in the application and fundamentals of operation of Loma and Lock products, including PC based simulation.
Execute consultative sales activities focusing on Loma’s added value differentiators of legacy, company, performance, durability, features and options.
Gather competitive information and communicate to Loma’s management; seek customer referrals, testimonials and leads.
Demonstrate proficiency in hands‑on specification of mechanical systems and instrumentation, including measuring and basic conveyor understanding of belt speed relationships and product handling.
Conduct necessary reading and research on industries and key accounts to maintain working knowledge of current state and critical issues.
Operate independently and professionally, presenting a well‑groomed and articulate presence.
Participate in trade shows as attendee or host, including set‑up and tear‑down activities.
Annually participate in planning process to develop realistic growth goals for the region and take ownership to deliver them.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CRM and Email applications.
Apply 80/20 principles and toolbox initiatives aggressively in the region.
Travel occasionally outside the region to trade shows or Loma facilities in Carol Stream, IL.
Provide monthly sales report to the Sales Manager.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Market Development or Account Management; industrial capital sales experience preferred.
Strong communication, analytical and computer skills.
Customer‑facing sales experience required.
Ability to read, interpret and write routine reports.
Ability to speak before groups of customers or employees.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions and percentages.
Positive attitude with customers and co‑workers, perseverance after rejection.
Good time management, multitasking and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license; minimum 50% travel required.
Compensation 70-75k base salary, Commission Inventive Plan based on monthly and annual target achievement. Commissions paid out monthly.
