Job Title Developer

Overview Microsoft .NET Web Developer III

Location: Madison, WI. Contract - 7 months (12/01/2025 to 06/30/2026). Compensation: DOE.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions and features for applications in Microsoft .NET environment.

Provide reliable, responsive support and updates to existing systems.

Collaborate with DNR Application Architect Lead for application solutions, development plans, and integration among information systems and IT infrastructure.

Understand interactions between applications and services within the DNR environment, evaluating the impact of changes or additions.

Maintain high quality deliverables aligned with agency standards and emerging business requirements.

Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment, performing a variety of tasks as required.

Interview Process

1st Round: 60‑minute in‑person interview followed by a 30‑minute technical exam (1.5 hrs total).

2nd Round: 60‑minute in‑person interview.

Duration of engagement: until 6/30/26, with possible annual extension.

Onsite or Remote: Candidates must be WI residents or willing to relocate within 30 days. Headquarters in downtown Madison, WI.

Hybrid work 60% remote, 40% in office. New contractor must start onsite for 5‑day orientation/onboarding. Work cannot be conducted outside the United States.

Required Skillsets

Advanced application development in Microsoft .NET Framework (VB.NET, MVC, C#).

Experience with JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular, and coding web APIs.

Object‑Oriented Design and standard security implementation.

SSRS/Power BI for developing reports.

Oracle backend database experience, including stored procedures and SQL.

Azure DevOps: repositories, version control, deployments.

Visual Studio proficiency.

Follow coding standards, best practices, and software development lifecycle.

Testing: identifying test scenarios, data setup, execution, documentation.
