Job Overview Edward Jones is a Fortune 500® financial services firm dedicated to delivering personalized wealth‑management solutions. The Senior FP&A Analyst will partner with market leaders across the 15,000+ branch system to drive strong field financial performance through robust analysis, insights, reporting, and plans.
What You Will Do
Lead, support, and improve market annual and multi‑year planning processes by gathering, validating data, analyzing actual and forecasted results, and communicating with all levels of leadership.
Perform ad‑hoc financial modeling and analysis to understand and articulate the financial impact of business decisions, managing multiple deliverables with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Develop high‑impact analysis and deliver actionable recommendations in partnership with key stakeholders, translating information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Partner with stakeholders to develop and deliver KPIs, financial drivers, and dashboards that provide insights to improve performance, integrating model updates and quantitative analysis into existing planning and forecasting processes.
Prepare and enhance market financial and metric reporting packages for senior leadership, analyzing trends and managing trade‑offs and investment prioritization.
Communicate analysis recommendations effectively, packaging complex analysis into easily digestible materials, PowerPoints, and narratives for executive consumption.
Build a trusted, diverse network of relationships in and beyond current function, occasionally managing external relationships.
Participate in and regularly lead cross‑functional teams, mentor associates, and contribute materially to team strategy and vision setting.
What You Will Need
5–8 years of experience in FP&A or related finance functions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or Data Science.
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and general analytical skills.
Autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive ownership of work streams from initiation to completion.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, influencing senior leaders and peers.
What Can Set You Apart
Financial Services Industry Experience.
Advanced Degree (MBA / MSF) or comparable certifications (CFA, CPA, etc.).
Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools considered a plus.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials, OneStream, or another financial planning tool also a plus.
Preferred for home‑office located near Tempe, AZ or St. Louis, MO, with hybrid onsite work three days per week.
