Overview
The Senior FP&A Analyst will partner with relevant stakeholders across Market Management, Finance, Digital, Firm Analytics, and other areas to deliver analysis, insights, and reporting that drive decisions resulting in improved business and financial performance. This role is focused on enabling decision making, evolving financial planning processes, and providing insightful and action-oriented financial reporting and analysis in partnership with key stakeholders. What you'll do
Leads, supports, and improves market annual and multi-year planning processes (in partnership with Market Management) by gathering and validating data, analyzing actual and forecasted results, and communicating with all levels of leadership. Leads, improves, and performs ad hoc financial modeling and analysis to understand and articulate the financial impact of business decisions. Manages multiple deliverables with multiple stakeholders simultaneously. Applies a wide variety of analytical techniques, visualizations, repeatable processes, peer reviews, and communication techniques to ensure a high quality and actionable end product. Leads, develops, and performs high impact analysis, with a focus on delivering value-added, action-oriented recommendations in partnership with key stakeholders. Translates information, trends, and data into high-value, actionable insights for senior leadership and business partners, and refines new analyses in response to business needs. Produces analyses that combine internal and external data and root cause analysis to improve performance, minimize risk, lower costs, improve investment decisions, and capitalize on new opportunities. Partners with relevant stakeholders to develop and deliver KPIs, financial drivers, and dashboards that provide insights to improve performance and complement existing reporting infrastructure. Delivers model updates, assumption refinement, and quantitative analysis improvements that integrate into planning and forecasting processes. Develops, prepares, and enhances market financial and metric reporting packages to be shared with senior leadership on a recurring basis. Analyzes and explains trends to support business decisions and uses management reporting and recommendations to improve performance and prioritize investments in partnership with Market Management. Effectively communicates analysis recommendations to team, peers, and leaders. Packages complex material into easily digestible formats, including PowerPoint and narrations, suitable for executive consumption, and guides teams to replicate. Develops a trusted and diverse network of relationships in and beyond the function, including managing external relationships as needed. Participates in and regularly leads cross-functional teams. Mentors associates and provides informal people leadership. Contributes to team strategy and vision setting. Proactively develops self, demonstrating progress across the "what" and "how" of the role and setting an example for more junior and peer analysts. Identify and conduct ad hoc analyses around targeted financial opportunities and risks. Deliver impactful recommendations that move the business forward. Build relationships across the firm and partner with senior leaders. This is an exciting opportunity to build out a new team within the FP&A function, requiring the Senior FP&A Analyst to bring strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset to help shape outputs, processes, data/reporting infrastructure, and relationships with stakeholders to drive value across the market performance ecosystem. 5-8 years of experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or Data Science Ability to conduct complex financial analyses, forecasts, and general modeling Ability to operate autonomously and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership of work, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving workstreams from initiation to completion Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence senior leaders and peers What can set you apart
Financial Services Industry Experience Advanced Degree (MBA / MSF) / Comparable Certifications (CFA, CPA, etc.) FP&A and/or Finance Experience Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials, OneStream, or other financial planning tools Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday. Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status.
