Workday Technical Analyst
The Workday Technical Analyst plays a critical role in the configuration, integration, and ongoing optimization of the Workday platform. This position serves as a technical expert and strategic partner to HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams, ensuring that Workday is aligned with business needs and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Talent, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning, etc.)
Manage security roles, business processes, and calculated fields
Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with Workday support as needed
Develop, test, and maintain Workday integrations
Ensure data integrity through audits and troubleshooting
Partner with the Data team to support reporting & data analytics
Support development of custom reports and dashboards
Lead regression testing for Workday releases
Gather and document business requirements
Recommend and implement new features to improve efficiency
Support compliance and audit requirements with accurate reporting
Serve as a liaison between HR, Finance, IT, and other departments
Provide technical guidance to stakeholders
Facilitate user acceptance testing and stakeholder verification
Completes additional IT projects or other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or an associate's degree and 2+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of Workday technical experience with Workday Pro Certification or ability to obtain in HCM, Payroll/Workforce Management, Recruiting, Learning, Talent & Performance, Adaptive Planning, Integration & Studio, Prism Analytics, Extend, and/or Reporting & BIRT modules.
Strong understanding of HCM processes and data structures.
Knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST), XML, XSLT.
Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and integrations.
Customer-first mindset with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Self‑motivated with a high level of energy, professionalism, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt effectively to fast‑paced and evolving IT environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
Benefits Base Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000. The base salary range may vary depending on geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
