IT Program Manager - Finance

Position Summary
Bull City Talent Group's direct client has an immediate need for a strategic Finance Program Manager to lead the delivery of complex SAP and non-SAP finance technology initiatives. This individual will serve as a key leader in driving cross-functional programs that impact critical finance operations, systems, and processes.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO), a strong understanding of broader finance business processes, and a proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end project delivery. This role requires exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including direct engagement with executive-level stakeholders.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage large-scale finance transformation programs involving both SAP and non-SAP systems
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment of project goals and delivery timelines
Define and drive project scope, timelines, resource plans, and budgets for multiple concurrent initiatives
Provide leadership across the full project lifecycle - from initiation and planning to execution, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates to executive sponsors and steering committees
Ensure finance business processes are well-understood, documented, and translated into technology solutions that meet compliance and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with finance, IT, and compliance teams to ensure projects are delivered in a GxP-compliant and audit-ready manner
Identify risks and issues proactively and implement mitigation strategies
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on SAP Finance (FI/CO) and finance-related systems
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or migrations
Demonstrated experience delivering finance projects in life sciences or pharmaceutical environments
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GxP, etc.)
Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, and financial reporting
Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives across SAP and third-party platforms
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience interfacing with executive leadership
Ability to lead cross-functional global teams, both on-site and remote
Strong project governance and documentation skills
PMP certification preferred, though not required
