What You’ll Do: As a Senior Healthcare Life Enrichment Coordinator, you’ll lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of enrichment programs for residents in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. You’ll ensure alignment with EnCompass Wellness principles across all six wellness dimensions (physical, social, intellectual, spiritual, nutritional, and community outreach), and guide a team to create engaging, high-quality resident experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
Design, implement, and evaluate wellness-based enrichment programs across healthcare settings
Supervise and mentor Life Enrichment Specialists, ensuring effective training and program delivery
Build and manage community partnerships to enhance offerings
Oversee departmental operations including budgeting, scheduling, transportation, and vendor coordination
Serve as a key contact for residents and staff, incorporating feedback and clinical collaboration into programming
Lead special initiatives such as large-scale events, overnight trips, and lifelong learning programs
Ensure programming meets compliance, safety, and person-centered standards
Collaborate across departments to support a vibrant, integrated campus life experience
Qualifications & Skills: Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential
3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in life enrichment or resident services
Prior supervisory experience and ability to lead and develop teams
Strong understanding of the aging process and person-centered care
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and resident engagement platforms (ICON, Canva, Tripleseat)
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred:
Experience with the Household Model of Care
Experience coordinating cross-campus events and community partnerships
Physical & Environmental Requirements: This position works in a dynamic campus setting with both indoor and outdoor responsibilities. Some physical activity required, including occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.), bending, reaching, pushing carts, climbing stairs, and operating a company vehicle.
Regular interaction with residents, staff, and community partners is expected.
