What You’ll Do As a Catering Lead Attendant, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Act as the primary lead for all catering and event services, coordinating with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Event Coordinator, and Directors.
Supervise and assist with event preparation, set-up, service, and clean-up for resident events, internal/external catering, and special functions.
Serve as liaison with residents, clients, and outside staff for custom catering and events requiring food and beverage support.
Maintain high service standards for event displays, food presentation, and equipment organization.
Train, mentor, and schedule catering and support team members.
Oversee catering equipment inventory and ensure all pieces are clean, organized, and properly stored post-event.
Assist with problem-solving during events and address issues promptly.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction throughout events.
Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and hygiene practices in all catering operations.
Assist in other dining venues as needed during non-event periods.
Support cost control and accurate reporting of catering operations.
Qualifications Required:
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in catering, hospitality, or event coordination
1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role in catering or food service
Strong leadership and communication skills
Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism and service quality
Basic+ computer skills and familiarity with POS or event scheduling software
SERVESAFE certified or willing to obtain certification within 3 months of hire
Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Preferred:
Previous experience working with older adults in a healthcare or long-term care setting
Experience leading teams in hospitality or food service environments
Familiarity with Point of Service (POS) systems
Ability to train and mentor new staff effectively
