Cook role at Friends Homes, Inc. in Greensboro, NC. Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $21.00/hr. Starting Rate: $18.00 and up DOE. What You’ll Do
Responsible for food production process in the kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared safely, timely, and efficiently Adhere to state, county, and department food standards and regulations Ensure meal quality and presentation meet expectations Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring all health and safety standards are met Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to provide exceptional food service to residents Handle food preparation, cooking, and serving with attention to detail and care Requirements
Required: Experience in food preparation (1-2 years preferred) Ability to demonstrate commitment to guest relations Proficiency in standard math and measurement Knowledge of food safety regulations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and ability to handle a fast-paced environment Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to effectively communicate and complete required tasks, including training and documentation Preferred: Previous experience in a large-scale or institutional food setting Culinary school training or certification (preferred but not required) Ability to follow complex recipes and meal preparation instructions Perks & Benefits
