About the Position This role supports all HR functions for assigned client groups. The position is 100% onsite and provides split‑shift coverage from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Eastern. It may be adjusted to meet business needs.
Deliverables & Responsibilities
Manage onboarding, offboarding and employee life‑cycle activities to ensure new employees experience a smooth, world‑class experience.
Handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and maintain accurate records.
Track training and development to keep the workforce compliant with industry standards.
Oversee performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Serve as the liaison between hiring managers, recruitment, and HR COE to fill vacancies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with client group leaders to develop HR programs, policies, and processes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices.
Support safety programs and ensure employees follow Astec Safety Rules.
Actively support Astec’s core values, mission, and vision statement.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred.
Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Oracle).
Experience with data dashboards (PowerBi) and conflict resolution.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and drive initiatives.
Experience in continuous improvement and project management.
Travel & Work Environment 5% or less of regional, international travel.
Office and manufacturing shop environments with reasonable accommodation for disabilities.
