Position Overview Peskind Executive Search is recruiting to identify a
Senior Corporate Controller
for our confidential client, a market leader in the
electrical, construction, and energy services sector.
This is a high-impact role with a defined path to promotion into the
Chief Financial Officer
position. The Senior Corporate Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensure strong controls and compliance, and partner with the CEO to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Leadership
Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support data-driven decision-making.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing actionable insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
Oversee capital structure, manage banking relationships, and support financing initiatives for growth projects and acquisitions.
Operational Finance & Compliance
Maintain rigorous financial controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, accrual accounting, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee audits, insurance, and legal matters related to finance and operations.
Monitor commodity pricing (electrical materials, fuel, etc.) and develop strategies to mitigate cost volatility.
Partner with operations to optimize materials, fleet management, and process efficiencies.
Team Development & Systems
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Hire and train senior finance leaders as needed to support growth.
Oversee ERP and financial reporting system implementation to ensure scalability and accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
CPA designation strongly preferred.
7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting or controller role.
Industry experience in electrical, construction, generators, or energy services required; waste/recycling experience a plus.
Demonstrated experience with capital management, fundraising, and investor relations.
Strong proficiency with ERP systems, financial modeling, and reporting tools.
