and build solutions that last. About the Role The Design Engineer I participates in controls engineering for projects in the material handling industry and others. The role’s primary focus is electrical design in AutoCAD Electrical. Other tasks include panel checkouts, on-site I/O checks, etc. If you are passionate about controls & automation, self-motivated, and enjoy collaborative environments, this position is for you. This position reports to the Director of Controls Engineering. In this role, you will… Collaborate with project teams on creating and implementing electrical designs for MHE control systems Develop and complete accurate designs utilizing customer documentation, prior experience, and verbal guidance with minimal oversight Complete pre-commissioning checkouts at the panel shop Support commissioning systems: perform input/output (I/O) checks, configure devices, assist in functional testing and troubleshooting Help create training material and guides Develop an understanding of system hardware capabilities and requirements Travel up to 30% annually Requirements We are excited about you because you have… A bachelor’s degree in engineering. 3 years or more of relevant engineering experience. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
