The Multi-Unit Team Leader role at
H&R Block
leads three tax offices and oversees customer-centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. The role begins with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transitions to full-time from January to April, including evenings and weekends as needed. In-person work is required.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and guide customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices.
Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and manage associate work schedules and timekeeping across all offices.
Travel between offices as required.
Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Qualifications
Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry.
Ability to create and execute growth plans and lead toward a growth culture; strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset that seeks to understand and exceed client needs.
Computer proficiency with MS Office.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with the equivalent combination of experience.
Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
