Join as Clinical Pharmacist – Oncology (Florida) at Cleveland Clinic.
Provides pharmacy services ensuring appropriate medication selection, dosing, administration and dispensing.
Overview Our Clinical Pharmacist will work Monday‑Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm or 8:00am–4:30pm. Occasional on‑call duties may be required. No holidays, weekends or float expectations.
Responsibilities
Provide safe, efficient, patient‑centered and evidence‑based pharmacy and medication services.
Ensure appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders.
Verify medication orders and dispense accurately per state and federal regulations.
Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
Ensure pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients.
Provide cost‑effective care.
Minimum Qualifications
PharmD or bachelor’s of science in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA.
Completion of a board‑approved course in immunization administration or certification within 90 days of hire for individuals administering immunizations.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification via AHA upon hire or within one year for individuals responding to adult or pediatric cardiac arrest events.
Preferred Qualifications
Board certification.
PGY1 residency, fellowship or relevant postgraduate pharmacy experience.
PGY2 residency or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists in a specialized pharmacy practice area.
Prior inpatient and leadership experience.
Physical Requirements
Typical physical demands include ability to perform functions of the job while reaching and stretching, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of the job.
