The Radiology Technologist will operate radiographic equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the ER Physician following the Radiologist's accepted protocol. The technologist will be proficient in patient positioning and operating the examining table to obtain optimal views. They will also practice radiation safety techniques, including beam restriction, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors, to ensure safety for patients and staff. Additionally, the technologist will operate CT scan equipment to produce diagnostic images, administer and obtain consent for contrast media (IV and oral), and document all procedures accurately. The primary goal is to ensure patient safety and satisfaction while acquiring high-quality diagnostic images. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain awareness of departmental policies and procedures. Assist in equipment maintenance, cleaning, and QA procedures. Explain procedures and their benefits/risks to patients. Prepare patients for examinations, including contrast administration and IV placement. Complete necessary forms related to contrast, extravasation, pregnancy, and other procedures. Follow safety precautions to minimize radiation exposure. Stay current with diagnostic radiology and CT procedures. Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiology principles to obtain diagnostic images. Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting of radiology equipment. Operate all radiological and lab equipment safely and effectively. Use proper body mechanics when moving patients and equipment. Apply radiology safety principles during procedures. Recognize limitations and seek guidance when needed. Communicate effectively regarding departmental activities. Transport patients safely to and from care units. Requirements Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. At least 1 year of radiologic/imaging experience, including CT. Skills and Abilities Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate effectively. Basic arithmetic skills and ability to interpret data visually. Certificates and Licenses Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current state licensure. Current BCLS certification.
