Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the daily maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for both guests and employees. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, and leading the Maintenance Team to uphold safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. You will manage preventative maintenance programs, address facility issues promptly, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. You may also provide guest transportation as needed. Your leadership and technical expertise will play a vital role in maintaining the hotel’s physical integrity and enhancing the guest experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance Leadership (35%)
Provide high level of customer service and ensure guests’ stay meets expectations
Lead and oversee daily maintenance team activities; provide hands-on support and training
Assist General Manager in implementing maintenance programs and procedures including benchmarking
Advise on staffing needs, coordinate team schedules
Communicate across shifts to ensure smooth operations; hold regular staff meetings
Manage time and attendance, scheduling, breaks, overtime compliance
Maintain adherence to safety standards and guest service expectations
Report maintenance repairs promptly to supervisor or General Manager
Operations (35%)
Perform routine maintenance on interior and exterior facilities (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural)
Ensure proper operation of distribution systems (electricity, water, gas)
Assist with day-to-day operations (trash removal, pool maintenance, grounds upkeep, security rounds)
Safety & Preventative Maintenance (20%)
Conduct regular inspections to ensure OSHA/fire safety compliance and company standards
Participate in preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and equipment
Log maintenance tasks and maintain records of equipment and facility operations
Other (10%)
Provide guest transportation as needed
Adhere to timekeeping policies and attendance; flexible scheduling
May participate in drivers program
Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Managers
Additional tasks may be assigned or changed as needed.

Preferred Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED
2+ Years’ Management Experience
3+ Years of progressive hotel experience
Experience/training in: refrigeration, boilers, plumbing, HVAC, building construction, carpentry, fire systems, electrical, janitorial, energy conservation, environmental safety
Maintenance and repairs of hotel infrastructure
Job Requirements
Valid Driver’s License
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Reliable and consistent attendance
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform repetitive movements; grasping and manipulation
Ability to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, climb, and work on uneven surfaces
Ability to walk, climb ladders, and work outside in various weather conditions
Capability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs; occasional exertion up to 20 lbs as needed
