We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of
CT Technologist I . Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels, such as CT Technologist II, based on skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply. Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Radiologist, performs CT procedures to acquire digital images for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Responsibilities include planning and executing CT procedures, post-processing, ensuring adherence to protocols, and managing dose data to optimize patient safety. The position involves working during 7p-730a on Saturday and Sunday, and 11p-730a on Monday, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants. Key Duties: Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire diagnostic images. Maintain knowledge of multiple CT systems across various locations. Follow protocols based on guidelines such as Image Gently and monitor dose data during scans. Match clinical histories to appropriate protocols, understanding major organ and vascular systems. Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and safety measures. Perform CT interventional procedures and advanced CTA imaging, including TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging. Maintain knowledge of pharmacology and physiology to produce quality scans and ensure patient safety. Apply physics principles to minimize patient dose. Interpret technical factors to optimize scan quality and speed. Work is performed in a clinical environment, with accountability for adhering to organizational policies and procedures. Additional competencies may be required based on departmental orientation. Position Requirements: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program (Required) Basic Life Support Certification Certified Radiology Technologist (ARRT) within 12 months of hire Our Values:
