Union: Yes Under the general supervision of the Radiologist, the CT Technologist performs CT procedures to acquire digital images for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include planning and performing all CT procedures and post-processing using advanced technology, based on clinical criteria, anatomy, and established protocols. The technologist must provide care for patients across specific age ranges in their assigned clinical area. Ensures protocols adhere to guidelines and manages dose data, notifying users when preset levels are exceeded. Job Duties

Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire diagnostic images. Maintain knowledge to operate different CT systems across multiple locations. Follow protocols based on Image Gently Guidelines, managing dose data and notifications. Understand clinical histories to match appropriate protocols and have knowledge of major organ and vascular systems. Obtain CT images according to established protocols, ensuring proper patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, and shielding. Perform CT interventional procedures. Conduct CTA imaging, including advanced studies such as TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging. Maintain knowledge of pharmacology and physiology relevant to imaging procedures. Apply physics knowledge to optimize patient dose and image quality. Interpret technical factors to improve scan quality and efficiency. Work is performed in a clinical environment. The role requires compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Additional competencies will be outlined during department-specific orientation. Position Details
