Responsibilities
Lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care by promoting best practices and leading through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. Support program awareness, onboard newly hired pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for their success. Manage the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthen pharmacy performance measures through coaching and follow-up. Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation. Provide empathetic patient care, collaborate with the patient’s total healthcare team, and proactively resolve insurance and medication issues. Offer and deliver immunizations where permissible; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize. Manage pharmacy inventory with emphasis on protecting cold chain products; follow inventory best practices and coach others to do the same. Conduct onboarding for Technicians and Pharmacists, including training on CVS workflow, and ensure trainees are on track for required training and licensure. Ensure operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed. Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure cross-trained colleagues complete required training for licensure. Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable); deliver annual performance reviews and close gaps as needed. Maintain a flexible schedule for business needs and write or delegate construction of the pharmacy schedule. Review business reporting to develop action plans for workflow, service, patient care, and compliance improvements. Establish a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion; seek feedback and take action as appropriate. Maintain clinical and technical skills through ongoing trainings and CMEs; seek opportunities to expand knowledge to support patients. Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible (e.g., testing and prescribing services). Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, standards, and CVS Health policies; ensure patient privacy and safety in a compliant, inclusive environment. Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot as needed, ensure prescription labeling accuracy Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people, respond to patient reactions Communication Skills: verbal and written communication, active listening Mathematical Reasoning: calculate quantities, days supply, and bottle counts Problem Resolution: address challenging patient or colleague interactions Physical Demands: stay mobile, lift, reach, and maneuver items; good vision for precision tasks Team Management and Leadership: lead by example, delegate, coach, and ensure high performance Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program 3-5 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs Anticipated Weekly Hours

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $65.00 - $78.00 This range represents base pay; actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
