Our Pharmacy Managers play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their respective pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for their pharmacy team. Responsibilities
Lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care by promoting best practices and leading through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. Support novel program awareness, onboard newly hired pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for their success. Consistently exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing patients with meaningful counseling, and abiding by all legal and regulatory guidelines. Manage the pharmacy team during bench shifts, coaching and following up to improve performance measures. Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and using safety guardrails at every workstation. Offer compassionate patient interactions, engage with the patient’s total healthcare team, and resolve insurance and/or medication issues. Immunize and support technicians in immunization training where permissible; identify opportunities to immunize and expand services. Manage pharmacy inventory with a focus on protecting cold chain products and adhering to best practices. Conduct onboarding for new Technicians and Pharmacists, including CVS workflow training and tracking training/licensure progress. Ensure operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed. Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure training for licensure. Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable) and conduct annual performance reviews. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; manage pharmacy scheduling as needed. Review business reporting to develop action plans for improvements in workflow, service, patient care, and compliance. Establish a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion, inviting feedback and acting on it. Maintain clinical and technical skills with ongoing trainings and CMEs; pursue opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients. Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible (e.g., testing and prescribing services). Understand and comply with federal and state laws, regulations, standards, and CVS Health policies; ensure controlled substance dispensing, privacy, and a safe work environment. Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot between tasks, ensure prescription labeling accuracy Customer Service and Team Orientation: proactively help customers and recognize patient needs Communication Skills: effective verbal and written communication; active listening Mathematical Reasoning: perform calculations for dispensing and dosing Problem Resolution: address challenging interactions and choose the best course of action Physical Demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, repetitive motions, and visual acuity requirements Team Management and Leadership: lead by example, delegate, motivate, coach, and hold team accountable Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program 3-5 years of related experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs Anticipated Weekly Hours

Full time Pay Range
$65.00 - $78.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors. This position is eligible for CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Benefits
